Results of investigation of metallographic special features of corrosion damage in longitudinal welded joints of a main heating system with diameters of 1400 mm and wall thicknesses of 40 mm are presented. It is shown that the nucleation of corrosion pits takes place along the fusion line on the internal wall of the heating system in the areas with high hardness (188–223 HV10) and the presence of a large amount of bainite and Widmanstatten ferrite in the structure.  相似文献

Aluminium is the second most often used metal after steel. In this paper, the most current uses of aluminium alloys are first summarised. Then, their different corrosion modes, i.e. pitting, crevice, filiform, galvanic and structural corrosion (including inter‐granular, exfoliation and stress corrosion cracking) are reviewed, with particular attention paid to metallurgical factors controlling the corrosion process. For each mode, some instances of possible in‐service failure are given, followed by the discussion of the involved mechanisms and the presentation of appropriate solutions to prevent corrosion. Last, passivity and polarisation behaviour are discussed with reference to stainless steels.  相似文献

超级马氏体不锈钢(SMSS)在较高温度下具有良好的力学性能,并具有高的应力腐蚀断裂抗力和良好的可焊性,因此其在苛刻环境下的应用正日趋广泛。用于石油勘探的材料要求其具有优良的综合性能,双相不锈钢和超级双相不锈钢尽管价格昂贵,但仍在该领域得到了广泛应用,而具有技术和经济优势的SMSS能取代上述两种钢在石油勘探领域获得应用。通常,SMSS在许多加工行业也有望得到应用。本文研究了添加与未添加Nb或Ti的SMSS的点蚀机制和形貌。添加Nb和Ti是为了使敏化的影响减至最小,促进晶粒细化,并研究其对钢在海水中点蚀的影响,重点在于点蚀的形貌和腐蚀电位。添加与未添加Nb和Ti的钢具有相近的显微硬度和类似的回火马氏体组织。阳极极化曲线表明,用Nb微合金化的钢的腐蚀电位高于其他钢。对不同电位下点蚀的形成和扩展进行了重复试验,并采用光学显微镜进行观察。在工业用钢中,添加Ti的钢显示出了最佳的耐蚀性能——具有最高的腐蚀电位和较低的点蚀电位。添加Nb的钢尽管腐蚀电位较高,但其点蚀电位比未添加Nb的钢低。  相似文献

Long‐term corrosion resistance of carbon steels grade API L80 and API Q125 has been evaluated by means of electrochemical measurements and exposure tests in the Molasse Basin, one of the most important geothermal fluids in Europe. In addition, the localized corrosion resistance of the duplex stainless steel alloy 2205 and the austenitic stainless steel grade 316L was determined at 100 and 150 °C. In general, investigated materials showed a remarkable resistance to uniform and localized corrosion. Their corrosion behaviour at service conditions is discussed in this paper.  相似文献

The limiting length of tunnels, llim, of Al foil electro-etched in HCl-H2SO4 solution and the corresponding anodic polarization curves in the same solution were measured. It is found that there is a dependence of llim on the potential difference, △φ, between the pitting potential, φpit, and the corrosion potential, φcorr, of Al foil, when the temperature and H2SO4 concentration of HCl-H2SO4 electrolyte are changed. The dynamic equation on the tunnel growing and the linear equation between llim and △φ were deduced by analyzing the relationship among the over-potential on Al foil surface, the transport over-potential in tunnel solution and the over-potential at tunnel tip during the electro-etching. The results show that the growing velocity of tunnels decreases with their extending in length and the changing trend of llim can be judged by measuring △φ, which supplies a convenient access to explore new kinds of etchants.  相似文献

The corrosion behaviour of martensitic stainless injection‐pipeline steel X46Cr13 exposed to CO2 saturated artificial saline brine with high chloride concentration similar to onshore CCS‐site at Ketzin, Germany has been investigated by means of electrochemical technique and microscopic observations at short exposure times (up to 24 h) and by mass loss and metallographic observations at exposure times up to 17520 h. Pitting corrosion kinetics has been characterised and the predictions about the corrosion mechanism are made.  相似文献

Corrosion and failure mechanisms on an aluminum (Al) alloy by ethylene glycol base solution have been studied. Extensive crevice corrosion damage and localized scale deposition are clearly observed between the failed Al alloy surface and the rubber hose, in which the leakage of ethylene glycol‐based solution occurred under an actual operating. In addition, many micro‐cracks are found at the rubber hose which is clamped with the Al alloy. The scales on the Al surface appear to be due to the occurrence of Al corrosion, followed by the precipitation of additives of ethylene glycol‐based solution in the crevice between Al alloy and rubber hose. The mechanisms that can account for the crevice corrosion and solution leakage on the Al alloy surface are discussed.  相似文献
